Bristol Community Colleges offers a wide variety of resources to help our faculty inside and outside the classroom. The sections below provide some information on many of these resources plus links to complete information, including any necessary forms.
Benefits
Bristol Community College provides our Faculty Members with many benefits, including Health Insurance, Retirement Benefits, and Savings plans. Visit the Benefits page for more information. Faculty Members gain additional benefits, including Dental Care and vendor discounts, through our association with the Massachusetts Teacher’s Association. CITE Lab
The CITE Lab assists faculty with their work in Online Learning, from proposing a new online course to improving and assessing existing courses. Please visit the Center for Instructional Technology Expertise (CITE Lab) website for more information about its services and how to access them.
Experiential Education Center
If you want to integrate Experiential or Service Learning into your course, contact Bristol’s Experiential Education Center for help and support to maximize your and your students’ success.

An earlier Inclusive Learning Committee led by Dr. Engin Atasay created these Inclusive Pedagogy Materials. We will also add additional inclusive pedagogy materials from other sources over time.

Tuition Remission Program
Tuition remission is available to benefited employees and eligible dependents at any Massachusetts college or university after a six (6) month waiting period with the exception of employees of the MCCC bargaining agreement. A "dependent child" shall mean any natural, adopted, or step-child who is claimed as a dependent on the eligible employee’s Federal Tax Return for the tax year immediately preceding enrollment and/or according to an employee’s collective bargaining agreement. Institutional Review Board
The Institutional Review Board meets regularly to review plans for research by members of the institution and those associated with the College who are conducting human subject research. This can include the use of surveys. If you wish to conduct research involving members of the Bristol Community, you should reach out to them. Instructions and more information are available on the Institutional Review Board website. You can also apply for an IRB through the IRB Application Page.
Extra Benefits
Fitness Center
The Bristol Fitness & Recreation Center on the Fall River Campus offers FREE access to its modern exercise equipment and physical fitness services for all Bristol students, employees, and alumni. The Center is in the Commonwealth College Center (G building). To use the Fitness Center, you need a valid Bristol Campus Card. Equipment includes treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, rowers, ARC trainers, dumbbells, cable stations, and 16 individual strength training stations. Fitness instructors are on staff to demonstrate proper use of the equipment. Group exercise classes are held in-person on the Fall River campus as well as live online and are listed in the Upcoming Events Calendar.
Art Gallery
Faculty are welcome to visit the Grimshaw Gudewicz Art Gallery located on the Fall River Campus. General information, including current exhibits, and hours of operation can be found here. Please remember, in addition to your own personal enjoyment of the gallery, this resource can be a valuable addition to your courses, regardless of discipline. Museum Access
With a valid Bristol ID card, faculty can gain free access to both the New Bedford Whaling Museum and The Boston Museum of Fine Arts, among other cultural venues.
The Bristol YouTube Channel
The Bristol Community College YouTube channel has a wide variety of playlists, including informational videos, student spotlights, and teaching tips provided by Bristol faculty members.
