COURSE SEARCH

AccessBCC

AccessBCC is your primary portal for doing virtual work at Bristol. Through AccessBCC, you can access your Online Learning spaces, locate your space for submitting final grades, access your email and other Office365 services, access DegreeWorks, connect to your form for requesting adjunct sessions, and many other services. We recommend exploring AccessBCC in detail to see all of the services provided therein.

Blackboard

Blackboard is Bristol’s Learning Management System. You can access your virtual course space through your AccessBCC Portal. We also have recordings of Online Learning workshops provided in the links below.

DegreeWorks

DegreeWorks is the portal we use to track student progress, particularly when we are acting in the role of advisor, and to assist students with their choices about course selection. It can be found in your AccessBCC Portal. DegreeWorks training is part of the New Faculty Seminar.

Information Technology

Bristol Community College’s IT office provides multiple services for our faculty, from activating phones to getting just-in-time training for Microsoft Office Terms. To get information about Bristol’s IT services or to put in a ticket for support, go to your AccessBCC Portal or the ITS Help Desk Portal. You will have to log into the ITS Help Desk Portal to access its full functionality.

Microsoft Office Suite

All employees of Bristol gain access to the Microsoft Office Suite, including full licenses of Microsoft Office for personal computers. Our ITS Tech Staff also provides training on Microsoft Office, both scheduled and on request. See more information on Bristol’s Office 365 services.

Dynamic Forms

Bristol’s Dynamic Forms portal is on your AccessBCC page. Bristol uses its Dynamic Forms system to allow employees to propose and/or comment on new policy proposals, suggest and update new courses and curricula, and generally have a say in college governance.

College Wide Initiative Forms

The College Wide Initiative (CWI)was created from the previous Academic Initiative (AI) process to permit all Bristol Community College stakeholders to be included in the process of proposing and responding to institutional changes and to promote shared governance and transparency. The CWI is not an approval process for an initiative, it is a feedback tool designed to collect feedback from all potential stakeholders that may be impacted by the proposed idea. The result is a more inclusive and robust proposal that best supports the college. All Bristol employees are permitted to submit a CWI. You can find information about CWI forms, including a link to submit your own CWI, in the "Governance" tab of AccessBCC.

Bristol App

The Bristol Mobile App is available through whatever mobile service you use. This is a space for students to ask for and receive help and to provide important information, including providing a space for you to upload your COVID-19 Vaccination Card.

Zoom

Zoom is one of the videoconferencing services that connect directly to your Bristol account (Microsoft Teams is the other). Zoom also connects directly to your Blackboard account through your Online Learning course spaces. You can access Bristol’s Zoom account through your AccessBCC Portal. Recordings of Bristol’s Zoom training workshops are at this link - Zoom training playlist.
