For 60 years, Bristol has been a leader in education and workforce training in southeastern Massachusetts, fostering economic growth and opportunity.
With the rapid growth and importance of the offshore wind industry, particularly in our region, there is an urgent need for a highly trained workforce to support this transformative industry.
Bristol Community College boldly led the way by establishing the National Offshore Wind Institute (NOWI). The NOWI is a one-stop shop for local people to get the trainings they need to secure critical, well-paying jobs in the offshore wind industry and beyond.
The NOWI opened in spring 2024, and has already trained hundreds of professionals across various industries in basic safety, working at heights, and much more.
Bristol took the bold and urgent step of investing in the NOWI to provide our community with life-changing opportunities and a more sustainable future.
Now, we are asking the community to invest in the NOWI.
Offshore wind is one of the fastest-growing industries nationally and globally, and our region stands at the center of it. The NOWI will provide the highly trained workforce needed to meet the demand of this industry.
Supporting the NOWI will create local jobs and provide clean energy for generations to come.
