Support the Bristol Community College Foundation With a Planned Gift

As a Bristol Community College Foundation supporter, you have demonstrated your commitment to ensuring that our students thrive. Now we hope you will consider a different type of gift - a special gift to Bristol Community College Foundation made through your estate plans.

Many think of estate planning as important - but also as something that can be postponed. Working on your estate plans today can have many benefits, including peace of mind in knowing your wishes will be fulfilled. If you include a provision for Bristol Community College Foundation in your plans, you will have the added satisfaction of knowing that generations to come will benefit from your generous act right now.

Getting Started

Preparing your estate plans does not need to be cumbersome or complicated. Here are some steps to help you begin:

First, gather information about your assets, including retirement funds, bank accounts, and real property.

Second, think about the people and organizations that matter most to you and how you would like to provide for them.

Third, think about who you would like to serve as your executor or trustee.

Fourth, meet with a professional. If you do not have an attorney in mind, your local bar association can make a referral.

We're here to help. Call us at 774.357.2235 or email us at BCCFoundation@BristolCC.edu.

A Gift Through Your Will or Living Trust

If you would like to include us in your will or living trust, please use our full legal name, Bristol Community College Foundation.

Your attorney may find the following language helpful:

I hereby give, devise, and bequeath ________ (a dollar amount, or all or a percentage of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate) to the Bristol Community College Foundation at 777 Elsbree Street, D-109, Fall River, MA 02720 for its general purposes.

The IRS recognizes Bristol Community College Foundation as a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Our federal tax ID number is 04-2707491.

Gifts of Retirement Funds, Life Insurance, and Bank Accounts

Naming the Bristol Community College Foundation as a beneficiary of your retirement plan, IRA, life insurance policy, or bank or brokerage account is a generous way to make a legacy gift "outside" a will. Like a bequest, these gifts help ensure that Bristol Community College Foundation will afford generations to come the benefit from your generous act.

These gifts are easy to implement and giving retirement funds is a tax-wise strategy for many donors. For retirement and life insurance accounts, request a change of beneficiary form from your plan or policy administrator. For bank or brokerage accounts, you will need to fill out the appropriate form. You will also need the following information to fully complete your beneficiary forms:

Legal Name: Bristol Community College Foundation
Address: 777 Elsbree Street, D-109, Fall River, MA 02720
Telephone: 774.357.2007
Tax ID: 04-2707491
