Purpose
Bristol Community College recognizes that students need to print in the course of doing academic work. The College also recognizes its responsibility to discourage waste and to promote environmentally-friendly uses of resources. greenPRINT, a print management system and policy, has been designed to raise awareness of spiraling printing costs and to reduce wasted paper. -
Scope
This policy applies to Bristol Community College credit and non-credit students, alumni, and visitors. -
Policy
-
General Policies and Procedures
- Credit, non-credit, and Center for Adult Basic Education (ABE) students should activate their accessBCC user account prior to start of classes to be ready to print on the first day as a user name and password will be required to access any computer.
- Students should not share their user name or password with others as they are responsible for the actions of their account. It is important that students log off when they are finished using a computer.
- If problems occur while printing, such as a printer jam or issues with print quality, users should save the entire print job and report to the Community Computing Center (K130) or the circulation desk in the library (A Building), or to the main offices in Attleboro or New Bedford.
- Students and visitors should save their documents to avoid loss of work. The College is not responsible for lost documents and unsaved work.
- Students and visitors can easily check the balance on their greenPRINT or BRISTOL BUCK$ at one of the account management stations or by visiting the Student Accounts Office in the Enrollment Center in Fall River. Once a student's account is depleted, additional BRISTOL BUCK$ can be added at one of the account management stations or by visiting the Student Accounts Office. Visitors can add BRISTOL BUCK$ at one of the account management stations located in the Library (A), Stoico Business (K), at the New Bedford Campus, and Attleboro Center
