UPCOMING EVENTS
On Thursday, July 30, 2020, the department of Multicultural Affairs held its 3rd Social
Justice Forum: Race and Educational Inequity. The forum focused on racial inequity
in K-16 educational settings in the United States. Participants listened to guest
panelists from various K-16 institutes from Bristol County and beyond. This forum
included a special guest speaker, Professor Kevin Gannon, previously featured in the
Academy Award-nominated documentary, 13th. Panelists engaged in questions presented
by moderator Rob Delaleu, Director of Multicultural Affairs, and audience participants.
Lastly, panelists presented actionable items that can be used to promote equity in
our classrooms and professional areas.
