Safety Escorts

We want you to feel safe walking on campus. The Bristol Community College Police Department will provide safety escorts upon request.

How do I request an escort?

Call the Bristol Police dispatch at 774.357.2218. Tell the dispatcher your name, exact location, destination, and provide a call back telephone number. An officer will be dispatched and respond as soon as possible. In most instances the officer will respond in a timely manner, however an emergency situation may dictate a longer waiting period for the escort. Please be patient.

Where can I be escorted to and from?

From one point to another within the areas normally patrolled by the police department.

What are the hours during which I may request a Safety Escort?

The service is available for Bristol students, faculty and staff arriving or departing campus at any time - especially during the evening hours.

Lost and Found

Bristol's Police Department maintains a Lost & Found area. If you have lost any property, please check with Bristol Police, 774.357.2218. If you find any property please notify Bristol Police as soon as possible so we may have a record of it in case anyone is searching for it.

Bristol Police will retain most lost & found items for up to one (1) year, as required by law. [ Items that present a health concern (i.e. food items, infested or moldy items, etc) and items that are worthless (i.e. broken or burned beyond repair, etc.) are immediately discarded. ]

Items are stored in a secured area at Bristol Police for safekeeping. We will make every effort to contact the owner of the property. However, oftentimes there is no identifying information available. A photo ID is required to claim an item.

Unclaimed property is considered “abandoned” after one (1) year. Abandoned property will be destroyed or donated to a local recognized charity. Department records will reflect the disposition of each item.

Building Access

It is the policy of Bristol Community College to issue building and room keys/access cards to faculty, staff, and persons or organizations with contractual agreements with the college.
