Book Order Troubleshooting
Important Information About Cancelled Book Orders
We have heard that some students' book orders have been cancelled. We hope the information below helps you identify the issue and place a new order successfully.
If your order was cancelled, you should have received an email from Barnes & Noble College. Please check your Inbox, as well as your Promotions, Spam, or Junk folders.
Book orders are typically cancelled for one of the following reasons:
- Incorrect ID Number was Entered at Checkout. When using Book Advance funds, you must enter the correct ID number during checkout.
- If you have a Bristol ID Card, use your Bristol ID Card Number (begins with 1000).
- If you have not yet applied for your Bristol ID Card, use your Student ID number (begins with 900). To find your Bristol ID Card Number, you may find it on your Bristol ID Card (Card #) or, follow the instructions below.
- Insufficient Book Advance Funds. Your book advance funds must cover the cost of your order materials. Click here to log into Bristol eAccounts to check your Book Advance balance or to add Bristol Bucks.
- Check Your Balance: Be sure to check your available balance before completing your order.
- Spending Over Your Balance? If your Book Advance does not cover the full cost of your purchase, you may add funds to your eAccounts by purchasing Bristol Bucks or use a second form of payment at checkout, if prompted.
Finding your Bristol ID Card Number
You can find your Bristol ID Card Number on your Bristol ID Card, listed as Card #. If you don't have your card available, follow the instructions below or watch this instructional video.
- Click here to log into Bristol eAccounts.
- Click on Card Services
- Click on the drop-down box for Deactivate Card to see your 1000 number
- IMPORTANT: Do not click the Deactivate Card button or the card will no longer be active! This option would be used only if you lose your card.
If you have more than one card number listed, please contact a Bristol Navigator at 774.357.2590.
Thank you for your patience as we work to ensure everyone has access to their course materials.
