Tuition Equity Law
Effective July 1, 2023, Commonwealth’s “High School Completers” Tuition Equity Law has expanded access to in-state tuition rates and state financial aid for all students who meet the following requirements
- Attended high school in the Commonwealth for at least three years
- Obtained a high school diploma (or the equivalent, such as a GED/HiSet) in Massachusetts
- Meet certain requirements which can be found here.
While any individual may use this new, efficient pathway and seek to be classified
with what we are calling “High School Completer” status under the Tuition Equity Law,
in effect the Tuition Equity Law has expanded access for undocumented students to
in-state tuition rates at our public higher education institutions, as well as access
to state financial aid at both public and private higher education institutions.
