No one has to go it alone. Student Wellness is available to help students navigate the process of choosing care and support and to provide direct counseling and referrals to meet a student’s needs.

Free, Anonymous Mental Health Screenings
Mental health is a key part of your overall health. Brief screenings are the quickest way to determine if you or someone you care about should connect with a mental health professional - they are a checkup from your neck up. This program is completely anonymous and confidential, and immediately following the brief questionnaire you will see your results, recommendations, and key resources.
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a 24-hour, toll-free suicide prevention service available to anyone in suicidal crisis. When you call, you will be routed to the closest possible crisis center in your area. With over 120 crisis centers across the country, our mission is to provide immediate assistance to anyone seeking mental health services. Call for yourself, or someone you care about. Promotes emotional health and preventing suicide. Find resources for students, parents, and campus professionals.
The Jordan Porco Foundation
The Jordan Porco Foundation is committed to preventing suicide, promoting mental health, and creating a message of hope for young adults. They provide engaging and uplifting programming emphasizing peer-to-peer messaging promoting help seeking behavior, self-care, and coping skills. Their programs challenge stigma by talking openly about mental health, and educating about the risk factors and warning signs of suicide and other related mental health concerns.
Samaritans (You Are Not Alone)
Samaritans works to prevent suicide and support those who have lost someone to suicide. Each year, 300+ volunteers answer more than 75,000 calls and text messages on their Helpline.

Offers crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ ages 13-24. Find education and training for young people and adults.
World Suicide Prevention Day
The World Health Organization estimates that over 800,000 people die by suicide each year – that’s one person every 40 seconds. Up to 25 times as many again make a suicide attempt. The tragic ripple effect means that there are many, many more people who have been bereaved by suicide or have been close to someone who has tried to take his or her own life. And this is happening in spite of the fact that suicide is preventable.
