Early College

The goal of Early College at Bristol is to provide pathways for students to earn at least 12 college credits at Bristol Community College. The credits you earn can be used to complete a degree at Bristol and are transferrable to many colleges in Massachusetts and beyond. 

Massachusetts Early College Designated Programs – like the one at Bristol – blend elements of high school and college to provide students with a clear pathway to a college degree.

• Reduce the time and expense of earning a college degree

Early College programs are designed to empower students traditionally underrepresented in higher education. Courses may be offered at your high school or at one of Bristol’s campuses. 

Students who utilize the pathways to their fullest extent could earn more than 20 college credits!

Partnerships

Bristol currently has partnerships with three local high schools. Students at these high schools are welcome to learn more about the Early College Program at Bristol. If you are interested in taking college courses while in high school, but are not a student at one of these schools, we encourage you click here to learn more about our other college access programs. 

B.M.C. Durfee High School 

Pathways: Health Sciences, Business Administration
Programs focused for Juniors and Seniors

 Argosy Collegiate Charter High School 

Pathway: Liberal Arts
As a wall-to-wall early college program, all students are eligible to participate. 

 New Bedford High School 

Pathways: Business Administration, Computer Information Systems & Health Sciences
