Policies, Training and Resources
Current Plan
Bristol’s Equal Opportunity, Non-Discrimination and Title IX Plan took effect September 1, 2026. It addresses equal opportunity, disability and pregnancy-related accommodations, discrimination and harassment, retaliation, and Title IX sexual harassment. The Plan provides definitions, complaint procedures, and forms.
Earlier policy
The Policy on Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity and Diversity was effective August 1, 2021 and preceded the EOP. The office will explain the applicable policy and procedures when conduct predates September 1, 2026 or spans policy versions.

Education and prevention
Contact the Title IX and Equity Compliance Officer, Johanna Bielawski, at Johanna.Bielawski@BristolCC.edu to request training or discuss educational needs. Training topics may include recognizing prohibited conduct, responding to disclosures, reporting responsibilities, retaliation prevention, consent, supportive measures, pregnancy access, and disability access.
All employees are responsible for completing the Title IX and Equity Compliance Training each year. The 2026 training can be accessed on LinkedIn Learning.
Campus climate
Review Bristol’s 2024 Student Experience Survey report to learn about reported experiences, awareness of resources, and campus climate. Survey participation and findings are distinct from an individual complaint process.
External complaint options
You may contact an appropriate government agency independently and simultaneously of a College complaint. Contact the agency directly about jurisdiction and filing deadlines; do not assume the College process changes an external deadline.
