Waleed Quddumi
Waleed Quddumi of North Attleboro, MA, graduated as a member of the Bristol Class of 2019, with a business administration transfer degree. For Waleed, the achievement is dedicated to both his supportive parents, who are from Morocco and Palestine, and to his younger sister, for whom he aspires to be a role model.
While Waleed may not have always valued education in high school, he credits his parents continuous reinforcement that “education translates to success” to his decision to enroll in the business administration transfer program at Bristol.
Enrolling at Bristol Community College’s Attleboro Campus assisted Waleed’s goals in several ways, as he conveniently attended courses, with smaller class sizes, near his home and was able to routinely meet one-on-one with the location’s academic advisors.
While enrolled at the college, Waleed quickly realized the value of both his educational journey and the hard work it would require to succeed. His newfound approach paid off as early as his first semester, when he was included on Bristol’s Dean’s List with a 3.5 GPA.
It was during this time that Waleed also fostered his academic and career interest in business. He reflects enthusiastically about his time in the business administration transfer program’s courses, including economics, where he learned how business impacts the entire world.
Waleed plans to attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s Isenberg School of Management with the goal of becoming a financial advisor.
Waleed looks forward to his future at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where
he is excited to secure an internship and continue to show his family and younger
sister that anything is possible with hard work and determination.
