UPCOMING EVENTS
Rex Thim, Class of 2015
Bristol alum Rex Thim, class of 2015, is a fixture at the Bristol Fitness Center. Rex has been coming here for years, and each day you can find him lifting weights with his headphones on, focused and in the zone.
Since he started working out, Rex has seen huge improvements in his health. He feels
stronger, and with each new muscle, Rex is more motivated to continue working toward
his personal best.
Rex loves working out at Bristol because it’s a place where he feels comfortable and
he can do his own thing, but the helpful staff is here if he needs them. And to top
it all off, he says, “It’s free!” Rex, we are so glad that you are part of the Bristol Fitness
Center family!
Jenna Teixeira, ’07, and Cori Lopes, ’08
Jenna Teixeira, ’07, and Cori Lopes, ’08 are Fitness Center regulars who can usually be found working out together. As members of the Professional Staff here at Bristol, they love that the Fitness Center is available right downstairs for them to use on their lunch break. Both mothers of young children, Jenna & Cori appreciate the opportunity to get their workouts in during the day so they don’t have to think about getting to the gym during the busy evening rush with their families.
They love working out together because, as Cori notes, “Jenna motivates me to get
to workout. When I’m not feeling it, she pushes me, and vice versa.” They especially
enjoy taking classes, and both Jenna & Cori love how they feel after working out.
They’re fitting easily into their favorite clothes, and they’ve gained back all of
their pre-kid confidence. Jenna & Cori, we are so happy to have your enthusiasm here
at Bristol. Keep up the good work!
Nathan Comstock, Class of 2008
Nathan Comstock, class of 2008, has been working out at the Bristol Fitness Center for 14 years. During that time, he has gained energy, gained confidence, and made new friends. He’s also lost over 300 lbs! Initially drawn to Bristol because of the culinary program, Nathan quickly learned that food was both his first love and his greatest challenge to living a healthy lifestyle.
When he decided to make a change in his life, his greatest reason was his desire not only to see his future, but also to embrace it. Nathan has continued to work out at Bristol because he is comfortable here and, he notes, “without a doubt, it is like my second home.” He tries every class offered, and he tries to help new people if they seem like they could use a hand. Nathan, your future is absolutely looking brighter!
