Following a comprehensive nationwide search, Bristol Community College has officially announced the five finalists for the role of the college’s 5th President. A committee of six members of the college community has carefully identified finalists who demonstrate the leadership, vision and values of the college's mission and the needs of our community.
“After careful consideration, the search committee has selected five very strong finalists for the position of President of Bristol Community College,” said Joan M. Medeiros, Chair of Bristol Community College’s Board of Trustees. “The search committee has brought forward candidates who bring a diverse range of experiences and perspectives, each offering strengths and qualities that will contribute to the continued success of our college.”
The finalists are:
- Dr. Alison Buckley, President of SUNY (State University of New York) Ulster in Stone Ridge, N.Y.
- Dr. Sedgwick Harris, Vice President of Administrative Affairs at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, Pa.
- Dr. Patricia Marshall, Provost and Executive Vice President at Fitchburg State University in Fitchburg, Mass.
- Dr. L. Michael McCloud, Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs / Provost at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kan.
- Dr. Evon Walters, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives & Community Engagement at the Community College of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh, Pa.

The selection process began in July 2024 with a committee of six members of the college
community and the search firm Isaacson, Miller.The final round of interviews will
take place at Bristol Community College from November 20th through December 10.
