Please join Bristol Community College for the Wolfson Speaker Series, an annual event that hosts prominent speakers to engage our community around significant issues. The second installment of the Wolfson Speaker Series will feature Jeff Corwin, renowned wildlife conservationist and environmental journalist.
The event will take place on Thursday, May 1, at 6 p.m. in the Margaret L. Jackson Arts Center Theatre on the Bristol Fall River Campus. The event is free and open to all. To register, please click here.
For nearly three decades, Jeff Corwin has been telling stories of wildlife and nature to a global audience through his many celebrated television series on ABC, NBC, Travel Channel, Food Network, Disney Channel and Discovery Networks. He is currently the creator, executive producer and presenter of ABC’s Wildlife Nation, exploring the remarkable story of North American conservation, and the host of the new CBS show Extraordinary World.
Jeff’s television work has been awarded multiple Emmys and top broadcast industry awards. He is the creator and co-presenter of CNN's groundbreaking documentary Planet in Peril, which he hosts alongside Anderson Cooper and Sanjay Gupta, as well as the executive producer and host of ABC's Ocean Treks, exploring journeys of culture, adventure and nature. He is also the executive producer and presenter for the film Expedition Chesapeake and narrator for David Attenborough’s powerful documentary Galapagos: Natures Wonderland. During the Gulf oil spill, Jeff served as an environmental correspondent for both CBS and NBC News.
The Wolfson Speaker Series is named in honor of Richard Wolfson, a longtime member of the Bristol Community College Foundation Board of Directors and supporter of the college. Mr. Wolfson requested that a speaker series offering the community access to high-profile speakers be created to provide enriching opportunities at no cost.
