Bristol Community College was honored as the 2024 recipient of The Lopes Companies Large Business Award, presented by the Taunton Area Chamber of Commerce at the Chamber's 107th Annual Meeting and Awards event on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at The District Center for the Arts.
At the event, Bristol’s President Laura L. Douglas, Ph.D., was also presented with three official citations in recognition of the award, on behalf of the Massachusetts Senate, Massachusetts House of Representatives and the City of Taunton.

(Small Business); Bristol Community College (Large Business); Taunton Diversity Network (Community Impact); 2Plus2 Tutoring (Diverse Business of Distinction); Sarah Gibson, Taunton High School (Educator of the Year); Condoleezza Dwuye and Bridget MacDougall, Taunton High School (Volkmann Future Leaders Scholars).

Bristol Community College’s Taunton Center, located at 2 Hamilton Street, offers a variety of course offerings and student services. The reimagined center features a Library Learning Commons, high-tech biology and chemistry labs, computer labs, an auditorium and a full-sized gymnasium, which is home to the Bristol Bayhawks’ Athletics programs.
