Brianne McDonough, M.Ed., has been appointed by President Sedgwick L. Harris, Ed.D., to serve as Bristol’s Interim Vice President for Economic and Business Development. Brianne currently serves as a Director at Jobs for the Future, focusing on the intersection of higher education and workforce development. As Interim Vice President, Brianne will oversee all Economic and Business Development (EBD) operations, including Adult Education, Business Solutions and Partnerships and the National Offshore Wind Institute (NOWI).

Brianne will advise Dr. Harris and the college’s leadership team with opportunities for Bristol to remain a leader within the workforce development sector and develop all programs under the Economic and Business Development umbrella. She will also identify opportunities for improvements to EBD operations, funding and student experience, in addition to fostering collaborations throughout the college.

In her current role at Jobs for the Future, she provides technical assistance, coaching and develops tools to assist postsecondary institutions and leaders in partnership with workforce agencies and employers. Before joining Jobs for the Future, Brianne held a position as Co-op Faculty in the College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University and has accrued valuable experience at Northern Essex Community College and MassBay Community College. Brianne earned her bachelor’s degree in earth sciences and geology from Bridgewater State University and her master's degree in education, with a concentration in higher education in student affairs, from Salem State University.
