Bristol Community College student Silvia R. Jones has been elected the college’s Interim Student
Trustee for the 2023 - 2024 term. Silvia resides in Fall River and is currently studying
Human Services.
Upon completing her degree at the college in Spring 2025, Silvia plans to continue
her education to earn her bachelor's in social work with the goal of working with
Veterans.
“I am enthusiastic about contributing to Bristol’s college community by advocating
for positive changes that enhance students’ college experiences,” said Silvia Jones, 2023 - 2024 Interim Student Trustee, Bristol Community College. “As a future social worker, my perspective and goals align with fostering a supportive
and inclusive campus environment.”
Bristol’s Student Trustee is elected annually by their peers to serve as a student
representative and member of the Bristol Community College Board of Trustees. Bristol’s
Board of Trustees is made up of regional business and community leaders who work tirelessly
to ensure the college’s institutional initiatives remain at the highest level of quality.
