Bristol recently hosted the APEX (American Pakistan Educational Exchange) program that brought students and faculty from Kinnaird College for Women in Lahore, Pakistan to the college, from Oct. 21 to 25, 2023, for an immersive experience
of enhancing cross-cultural exchange. APEX is funded by the Alumni TIES grant, a US
Dept. Of State program.
While at Bristol, the students from Kinnaird College participated in academic courses,
attended the Women and the World Teach-In and teamed up with Bristol’s students for collaborative project presentations
on mental health and women. The group also enjoyed visits to enriching institutions
such as Harvard University, Brown University and New York City’s Museum Mile.
The program was a collaboration between Bristol, Kinnaird College and Sauk Valley
Community College, in Dixon, Illinois, which will also host the visiting students
and faculty. Thank you to everyone who facilitated this dynamic initiative, including
the generous homestay hosts, instructors and coordinators.
