Bristol Community College is proud to announce that the college has been awarded a $75,000 capital grant from the Cultural Facilities Fund (CFF), administered by MassDevelopment and the Mass Cultural Council, for updated lighting and flooring at Bristol's Grimshaw-Gudewicz Art Gallery, located on the Fall River Campus.
The college was included among the fund’s 94 recipients of the FY23 CFF grant round, totaling $7,661,000 for cultural facilities and projects throughout the Commonwealth.
Bristol’s Grimshaw-Gudewicz Art Gallery supports the educational mission of the college, offers an opportunity for the exchange of ideas, and enriches the environment of our communities. Each year, the gallery presents a variety of art exhibitions and educational programming that reflect the diversity and vitality of contemporary art in the region. Gallery exhibitions are designed to support the learning environment and create opportunities for students and the community to explore the creative process.
The Cultural Facilities Fund (CFF) provides capital and planning grants to nonprofit organizations, colleges, and municipalities that own or operate facilities primarily focused on the arts, humanities, and sciences. CFF awards invest in the acquisition, design, repair, renovation, expansion, and construction of nonprofit and municipal cultural facilities.
