Build Your Business. Create Your Road Map.

The Road Map to Entrepreneurship is a year-long program designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs and existing business owners turn ideas into action and build a strong foundation for long-term success. Through synchronous instruction, hands-on business development, one-on-one mentorship, and practical application, participants will develop the knowledge, tools, and strategy needed to launch, strengthen, or grow their businesses.

Participants will work directly on their own businesses throughout the program, progressing toward a completed comprehensive business plan and professional business presentation.

Who Can Participate?

Roadmap to Entrepreneurship program participants standing with certificates of completionThe program is open to aspiring entrepreneurs and existing business owners who are ready to actively develop their businesses and commit to the full program experience.

Participants must be enrolled at Bristol Community College.

Following the application process, qualified applicants will be invited to participate in a pitch competition. Based on the application and pitch process, 12 entrepreneurs will be selected for the cohort.

Program Schedule & Commitment

Throughout the year-long program, participants are expected to:

  • Attend two required synchronous virtual learning sessions via Zoom each month
  • Participate in one required individual mentor meeting each month
  • Complete monthly business assignments and milestones that contribute to the development of their business plan
  • Complete independent business development work between scheduled sessions
  • Maintain at least 80% attendance at required Zoom sessions
  • Maintain enrollment at Bristol Community College
  • Complete and submit a comprehensive business plan
  • Deliver a professional final business presentation

Participants will progress through five key stages of business development:

  • Discover – Explore your business idea, goals, customers, and opportunities.
  • Learn – Build practical knowledge in marketing, finance, operations, business management, and growth.
  • Connect – Work with mentors and professionals who provide guidance as you develop your business.
  • Launch – Turn what you've learned into an actionable business plan and prepare to professionally present your business.
  • Grow – Leave the program with the tools, knowledge, and strategy to continue moving your business forward.

Participants who successfully fulfill all program requirements will complete the Road Map to Entrepreneurship with a comprehensive business plan, professional business presentation, Certificate of Completion, and a $1,000 seed grant to support the continued development of their business.
