Institute for Sustainability & Post-Carbon Edu

The Institute for Sustainability and Post-Carbon Education (ISPE) works to educate academic, public, health, business and civic-leader audiences to the threats, challenges and opportunities posed by climate change and continued use of non-renewable sources of energy.

ISPE’s work focuses on the worldwide impacts of these challenges and the processes necessary to create resilient and sustainable societal transformation to a post-carbon world. 

To that end, ISPE is committed to working with educators, students, community members, public officials, health professionals and businesses to develop innovative educational curricula and programs that foster post-carbon resilience and sustainability. This mission coincides with the goals laid out in the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment.
