Established in 2022, this endowed scholarship was created in memory of Frederick and
Ella Crane as a way to honor their efforts and support of their children, and to pay
their legacy forward by helping and encouraging scholarship recipients to pursue and
achieve their American Dream. Together, Frederick and Ella sponsored all four of
their children's undergraduate educations. Later, when
their grandchildren came along, Frederick and Ella created a college fund for each
grandchild to support their education beyond high school. In total, eight of eleven
of their children and grandchildren attended Bristol Community College.
This scholarship is for Bristol Community College students interested in the sciences, engineering, mathematics or education, who have achieved a 3.0 or higher grade point average and have demonstrated financial need. Consideration shall be given to students with special academic needs that reside in Massachusetts.
