Established by his parents, this endowed scholarship is in memory of Edward Terral Smith Jr., '82 who, throughout his student years, worked, earned, and paid for all of his living, personal, educational expenses while also volunteering for a local charity. To qualify for this endowed scholarship, a student must have completed a minimum of 36 credits at Bristol Community College and possess a GPA of 3.5 or higher with plans to transfer to a four year college. The student must be of high personal integrity and be actively expending an extra measure of commitment beyond what it takes to earn good academic standing. Examples include, but are not limited to: working full time or working multiple jobs; raising a family; participating in community service. This scholarship will be paid directly to the transfer college upon delivery of the required paperwork by April 1 of the year following graduation from Bristol Community College.
