This scholarship was established in 2010 in memory of Darlene St. Julien who earned her associate degree in Early Childhood Education from Bristol Community College Community College, was a long-time New Bedford resident and early childhood educator. The scholarship is awarded annually to a Bristol New Bedford student who has completed a minimum of six credits at Bristol Community College's New Bedford campus and demonstrates scholarship merit and financial need. There is a preference given to single mothers.
