Anna Paula Strachoff was a lifelong psychiatric nurse and teacher, known for her gentleness, kindness, and compassion for the patients entrusted to her care whose professional career was a testimony to her commitment to life-long learning. A proud graduate of Bristol Community College’s Associate Degree Nursing Program Class of 199 1, Anna continued her education to obtain a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in nursing. Throughout her clinical and academic career she was the epitome of the nurse educator who, through her quiet, patient, non-judgmental, holistic and empathetic approach, set high professional standards for her colleagues, students, and self. Anna’s faith and belief were witnessed through action in the way she lived her life and through her daily interactions with everyone she met. Her lasting legacy is her enduring passion directed at reducing the stigma associated with mental illness.
This endowed scholarship is for students who are enrolled in Bristol's Nursing Program, have passed course NUR201, demonstrate financial need, and have a 3.3 GPA or higher.
