Bristol’s Director of Athletics and Head Men's Basketball Coach Brian Fernandes ‘06
was recently honored as the 6th member of the Johnson & Wales University basketball
program’s 1,000-point scorers club.
Coach Fernandes, who was an All-Conference player and member of JWU’s first GNAC Championship
and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2003 / 2004, was inducted to the 1,000-point club
on Saturday, January 21, during the university’s inaugural banner ceremony. Several
members of the Bristol Bayhawks Men's Basketball Team attended the ceremony in support
of the milestone.
