Bristol Community College Director of Television Services Keith Thibault receives the prestigious Buske Leadership Award

Keith Thibault, Director of Television Services and Fall River Community Media (FRCMedia) at Bristol Community College was the recent recipient of the Buske Leadership Award, recognizing individuals who have demonstrated their commitment to the mission and goals of the Alliance for Community Media (ACM). The award was presented at the ACM 2022 Annual Conference, from June 28 to 30, 2022, at the Fairmont Chicago Millenium Park Hotel.

 Keith Thibault, a Fall River native now living in Lincoln, R.I., is a long-standing Bristol employee who has served in his current role at the college since July 2000. He earned a bachelor's degree in communications/media, specializing in television production, from Fitchburg State College (now Fitchburg State University) in 1987 and has worked in community media since 1994, first serving as Director of the New Bedford Cable Access station. Keith has served on several ACM boards, including Mass Access from 1997 to 2014 and the Northeast Region of the ACM (ACM-NE) from 2004 to 2019, in addition to serving as an ACM-NE representative to the National Board of the ACM from 2014 to 2019. Keith was chair of the national board in 2018 and 2019.

The Alliance for Community Media (ACM) is a national membership organization that advocates, promotes and preserves the right to media training, production, distribution, civic engagement, and education in support of diverse community voices, through public, educational and government access channels and other forms of media.

The goal of Fall River Community Media (FRCMedia) is to develop multi-media, cross-platform community programming and to provide Fall River residents and organizations access to state-of-the-art communications technology to create grassroots, community-based content.
