Bristol Community College names new Dean of Bristol Attleboro Campus
Kate O’Hara has been named Dean of the Bristol Community College Attleboro Campus. Kate comes to Bristol after working as Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Bay State College in Boston, Mass.
Following a position at Bay State College as Director of Residence Life and Dean of Students, O’Hara became the institution’s Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students in October 2014. During this time, she led the Department of Student Affairs, including the areas of Residence Life, Student Involvement, Counseling and Disability Support Services, Student Success & Wellness, Student Financial Services and more. In this role, she developed and implemented a student support services model and directed all efforts related to student satisfaction and retention. She was also responsible for managing division budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility and maintaining institutional compliance.
In addition to her role as Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students, Kate has also previously served as Interim Vice President of Admissions at Bay State College in Boston, Mass. During this time, she oversaw recruitment for all programs and locations and developed a seamless experience for students in the enrollment process by integrating services in admissions, financial aid and student life.
Kate has also participated in several professional organizations within higher education including Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA) and the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA).
