Congratulations on deciding to start your journey to earn your high school equivalency!
In Massachusetts, the High School Equivalency (HSE) Test (HiSET) and General Education Development (GED) exam both provide a state-issued, alternative credential to the high school diploma. A high school diploma or HiSET/GED credential is essential for your pathway into college, training programs, the military and most jobs.
Bristol Adult Education offers classes that will put you (16+ years-of-age) on a pathway to success by preparing you to take the HiSET and GED exams. Work independently or with a teacher in a group at a location that is convenient for you.
These non-credit classes are offered at the Fall River, Taunton and Attleboro campuses in face-to-face or online formats. Take the classes you need and finish when you are ready to take the tests.
Some classes are free, while others may have a small fee. Financial assistance may be available. Here are your next steps:
