Free English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Classes

About Free ESOL Classes

Free English (ESOL) classes at Bristol Community College are funded by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MA DESE). These classes are intended for beginner- and intermediate-level English language learners.

Due to the high demand for free English classes and the limited number of vacancies, students are chosen to participate through a lottery drawing held two times each year (July and December).

The Bristol Adult Education ESOL Information (Intake) Form will re-open on April 1, 2025.

Fall 2025 Lottery Eligibility

To begin the process of entering the Fall 2025 Free ESOL Class Lottery, complete the Bristol Adult Education ESOL Information (Intake) Form for the Fall 2025 Free ESOL Class Lottery between April 1, 2025 and June 15, 2025.

Students who complete the Bristol Adult Education ESOL Information (Intake) Form will receive an email to schedule an appointment for placement testing. Students are eligible for the lottery after completing the required placement test.
