The Path to Success in Career and Beyond

Communication professor at Bristol speaking with a student in front of a chalkboardThe Communication program at Bristol Community College helps students understand and apply key principles of human communication, think critically about mass and emerging media in a diverse world, and develop strong practical communication skills.  Whether you are preparing for a career in communication or still exploring your options, a communication major provides a solid foundation for any future endeavor.

The program provides the foundation students need to transfer successfully into four-year communication programs. After transferring, students can pursue communication-related careers such as journalism, media production, and public relations.

Communication careers offer vast opportunities for growth, innovation and advancement. Potential career paths include:

  • Public Relations Specialist/Manager
  • Digital Marketing Manager
  • Corporate Communications Manager
  • Media Relations/Spokesperson
  • Social Media Strategist/Manager
  • Content Strategist/Copywriter
  • Communications Consultant
  • Speechwriter
  • Journalist/Media Producer
  • Content Designer

Students are eligible for the MassTransfer program and transfer agreements with private and public schools in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. These options offer convenient and efficient transfer and can provide substantial cost savings.

Upon completion, students have gained perspective and skills for success – in college, career and life.
