Career Services and the Experiential Education Center are pleased to provide the college community with access to all employer recordings from Bristol Community College’s first all-virtual Opportunity Fair. Over 40 employers from a broad range of industries introduced attendees to their respective organizations, provided information opportunities (i.e., jobs, internships, volunteer opportunities), discussed potential career paths, and much more.

Massachusetts Trial Court - Court Service Centers

The Massachusetts Trial Court established the Court Service Centers (CSCs) in 2014. CSCs work to engage the public and communities to enable greater access to the justice system for self-represented litigants. CSCs collaborate with multiple court departments and outside agencies to offer self-represented litigants procedural and legal information, one-on assistance with filling out forms, access to interpreter services, assistance with legal research and contact information for community resources, legal assistance programs and social service agencies. CSCs do not provide legal advice but can provide legal information on how the court works and the different options available.

Stevens Treatment Programs. empowers youth to lead successful lives through high-quality treatment and education in a safe and nurturing environment. Located in the Historic District in Swansea, MA, Stevens provides comprehensive services to approx. 30 adolescent boys ranging in age from 11-22 who require the safety of our residential treatment program due to behavioral and emotional needs. Here they receive special education; individual, family, and group therapy; and daily behavioral support through a trauma-informed lens. Physical and emotional safety, healing, skill development, empowerment, and education allow youth to successfully integrate into the community. Stevens values cultural humility and strives to be an inclusive organization for staff, youth, and their families.

The mission of the Office of Investigations (OI) is to protect the integrity of the programs administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). OI conducts criminal, civil, and administrative investigations of fraud and misconduct related to HHS programs, operations, and employees, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies and law enforcement tools. Additionally, OI provides protective services to the Secretary of HHS and participates in the Department’s continuity of operations program, as well as a full range of public safety and security incident management activities. OI fulfills its mission through its dedication to integrity, innovation, and excellence. In this session, we will discuss all aspects of employment with Federal Offices of Inspector General. We have a very diverse workforce, with people from various backgrounds who come together to work as a cohesive team. We welcome any majors, but in particular people who are criminal justice majors or preparing for law school, as well as accounting majors. We also encourage those in the medical field to participate, since we investigate medical providers, and have hired nurses and other medical professionals who have become productive special agents. Most of our employees are Special Agents. We also hire Investigative Analysts. For students, we offer volunteer student intern positions, and occasionally announce student and recent graduate positions in the Pathways program (paid internships). Lastly, we will also discuss internships in our presentation.
