Spring Virtual Opportunity Fair

Monday, April 5 - Thursday, April 8, 2021

Don't miss Bristol Community College's first virtual Opportunity Fair, which will kick off on Monday, April 5 and continue through Thursday, April 8.  Over 40 employers from a broad range of industries will present information about jobs, internships, volunteer opportunities, career paths for new grads, and much more.  All students and alumni are invited and highly encouraged to attend.

Each day will focus on a related set of industries that align with Bristol's Academic Divisions, including: Health Sciences, Business, STEM, Behavioral/Social Sciences & Education, Arts & Humanities.

Important: Employers may be seeking candidates for positions that are unrelated to the organization’s industry. For example, a hospital may be seeking candidates for IT Help Desk jobs. As such, job seekers are encouraged to check out "Anticipated Openings" for all 4 days.  Furthermore, virtually all companies employ positions such as Administrative Assistants, Accountants, IT staff, and others. We encourage you to think about the organization versus industry.

What kind of information will employers discuss?
Depending on company needs, representatives will share information about available opportunities such as jobs, internships, and volunteering. Topics may also include career paths for new grads, company culture, the hiring process, and perhaps offer tips and advice for how to mount a successful job search. 

What will the event be like each day?  Concurrent employer information sessions (approximately 2-4) will be offered in one-hour blocks starting at 11 a.m. You’ll choose which sessions to attend based on your interests and career goals.  Four blocks will be offered each day.  Links to each Event Schedule are posted.   

What if I am interested in two companies that are presenting during the same block?
No worries! All sessions will be recorded, so you’ll be able to watch any of the presentations you missed.  

Do I need to register for this event?  
Yes, registration is required for each session you want to attend. You’ll need to do so in order to receive the link to join the session. You may register for as many sessions as you like, but no more than one session per block.  
How will I access a session?  
Once you register, you’ll receive a confirmation with the meeting ID and link. You will be able to add the event to your calendar. To join the session, open the event on your calendar and join.    
Can I join from my phone?  
Technically, yes, but you will need to download the Zoom application. That said, we strongly recommend you join from a desktop computer or laptop that has a webcam and microphone. This event provides a unique opportunity to meet and interact with recruiters, and potentially a future employer!  As such, you’ll want to make a strong first impression. See our Event Prep Tips & Advice for making the most of this event.
