Welcome back! Bristol Community College is ready to kick off the start of the semester, and we want you to join in the excitement.

We’ve been working hard on putting together fun and informative events for the first few weeks of the semester that will prepare you with the right resources to lead you on a path of success.

Welcome Week Events | September 11 - 14, 2017

Welcome Week includes fun activities throughout the week that introduce students to the college through a host of events created just for you! Save the dates for Welcome Week and get ready to show your Bayhawk Spirit!  

Tuesday, September 12

Student Welcome event at the BCC New Bedford campus, from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • “What would you do for a Klondike Bar?” brought to you by the Office of Student Life! This event is held at the BCC Fall River campus, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Get to know BCC with a scavenger hunt, selfie stations, and a prize wheel!

Wednesday, September 13

Bayhawk Spirit Day at all BCC locations. Show your BCC Spirit! All students, faculty and staff are welcome to wear BCC logo apparel or green and white clothing. The BCC Bookstore is offering a 20% discount on all BCC clothing on Monday, September 11 through Wednesday, September 13. There will be fun ways to share your spirit on social media using #BayhawkSpirit and a contest to see which location has the MOST Bayhawk Spirit!
  • Student Welcome event at the BCC Fall River campus, from noon – 2 p.m. Stay tuned for more information including a live broadcast from FUN107 during the event! Attend a welcome reception with President Douglas and join us for a group picture in your BCC clothing.
  • Student Welcome event for evening students at the BCC Fall River campus, from 6 - 7 p.m. A special event for evening students will take place in the library lobby at the BCC Fall River campus. Meet other evening students, as well as faculty and staff! Refreshments will be served.

All students, faculty and staff:

  • Wear green and white to show your Bayhawk Spirit or
  • Wear any BCC logo items.
  • Check out BCC Bookstore for your 20% discount on BCC clothing, Monday, September 11 to Wednesday, September 13.

  • Office Administration and so many more

BCC students attend classes during the day, evenings, weekends, and online. Courses are offered in Fall River, New Bedford, Attleboro and Taunton Center.

‌For general admission for an associate's degree program, you must have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate. You do not have to provide Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) results.

Admissions Page Steps Button Image‌Those admitted to the college will be required to take placements tests to assess the ability to succeed in college work. Some candidates will be admitted to the Center for Developmental Education to strengthen their background in specific areas.
