Why should I attend Orientation?
College Orientation is often the first step in a new academic career. Here at BCC we encourage all first semester students, day or evening, part-time or full-time, traditional or non-traditional to attend orientation. The information you will receive during orientation will serve you throughout your time at BCC. Learn about your program, meet fellow students, take a campus tour are just a few things that you can do at orientation.

Kickoff to College Orientation
Kickoff to College Orientation will be held on August 27, 2014, at the Fall River Campus. Students who attended orientation during August 20-23 are encouraged to return to the Fall River Campus for the cook-out, student organizations/clubs fair and Campus tours.
7:30 AM Check-In (Margaret L. Jackson Arts Center, H Building)

10:15 AM – 12:15PM Academic Program Meetings (Various Campus Locations) Learn about your academic program (major) from the faculty within your division. Please remain seated and you will be dismissed by program. Note: Program meetings may end at various times.
12:30 PM – 2:00PM Student Organizations/Clubs Fair (Outside the Commonwealth College Center, G Building) Get involved in your college….MAKE BCC YOURS! Learn about services, programs and resources available to students. A variety of clubs, organizations, and programs will be promoting their activities, offering advice and seeking new members.
12:30 PM – 2:00PM Scavenger Hunt Take part in an enjoyable scavenger hunt and win a prize.
12:30 PM – 2:00PM Campus Cookout/Activities/Closing Ceremony (Outside the Commonwealth College Center, G Building) Mix and mingle with your classmates, faculty, and staff while enjoying lunch. Relax with new friends, listen to DJ Mike, partake in fun activities and take part in the Burning of Fears closing ceremony!
Throughout the Orientation Day, Campus Offices are Open and Available to Assist You
Consider purchasing your textbooks at the Bookstore; they’ll be open 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. Stop by the accessBCC Campus Card office (G221) to obtain your student ID, or turn in proof of immunization/health insurance at Health Services (G-200).
