Cap and Gown
You may pick up your cap and gown, and a Graduation Information memo at the Bookstore in the Commonwealth College Center (G Building) beginning May 4. All items must be picked up before Tuesday, May 26 at 4 p.m.
Bookstore hours for the Month of May 2015:
- Week of May 4 – 9: Monday thru Thursday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.; Saturday 1-2 p.m.
- Week of May 11 – 16: Monday thru Friday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. -2 p.m.
- Week of May 18 – 23: Monday thru Thursday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.; closed on Saturday
- Week of May 26 – 30: Tuesday thru Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Note: Closed for the Memorial Day holiday, Monday, May 25, 2015
Phi Theta Kappa Honors Stoles
PTK Honors Stoles are worn by PTK members at graduation and distinguishes them as honor students and campus scholars. PTK Stoles may be picked up April 6 through May 24, 2015, in the Commonwealth Center, room G-211, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., and in G-200, Monday through Thursday, 4 – 6:30 p.m.. You may pick up your degree/certificate after the ceremony in the Cafeteria of the Commonwealth College Center (G building). Degrees and certificates for graduates who are unable to attend the ceremony will be mailed the week following graduation.
Please Note: Students who completed all requirements in Fall 2014 and were December graduates, will receive their degrees/certificates during the Spring 2015 semester, prior to Commencement.
Commencement Program Listing
Your name will not appear in the Commencement program or in local newspapers if you have a privacy/confidential hold placed on your record. However, your name will still be announced during the Commencement proceedings. If you currently do have a privacy/confidential hold on your record, but do want to be listed on the program and in newspapers, please report to the Enrollment Center (G124) by Friday, April 24. Honors designations in the Commencement program are based on your total GPA at the end of the Spring 2015 semester.
Requests for accommodations for graduates and/or guests should be made in advance, preferably by Monday, April 27, 2015. If you and/or your guests need accommodations to access this program of events, please contact the BCC Office of Disability Services at 508.678.2811 ext. 2955. A wheelchair lift to the stage will be provided for graduates, and reserved seating is available for guests with disabilities. However, please contact the BCC Office of Disability Services in advance to discuss the details of the accommodation.

Please complete the Graduating Student Satisfaction Questionnaire, which will be available in March through your accessBCC account. After you log into your account, click on the My accessBCC tab and look under My Quick Links.
If you have questions about your degree audit, call 508.678.2811, ext. 2364. For all other questions, call ext. 2240 or stop in at the Enrollment Center on the first floor of the Commonwealth College Center. The College web page will post updated Commencement information as necessary.
Please note: Graduates who are Massachusetts residents may be required to apply for health insurance if they are no longer covered by the student health insurance or other coverage.
