The gallery closes 2023 with the return of the Bristol Community College Art and Design Faculty Exhibition. We last had an opportunity to exhibit faculty work in late 2019. The current show features work by Bhen Alan, Maryellen Atkins, David Barnes, Brooke Mullins Doherty, Erik Durant, David Stephan Graves, Kathleen Hancock, Kat Knutsen, and Beth Thomas.

Ukrainian Artists Respond to the War

In early May, Hanna Melnyczuk contacted the gallery about a project she was beginning to work on. Hanna is an artist and teaches at UMASS Lowell. In her email she wrote, “I am organizing a show of small works by Ukrainian artists. The images are their reflections on the war…Would this be something that would interest you?” Thus began our journey of coordinating the logistics of bringing their work to the gallery.

This exhibition has been in the making for a long time. We had planned to launch a show in the fall of 2020 that would feature work by makers and artists from Smokestack Studios, but the pandemic forced us to table the project.
