Event Description
Tai chi is an internal art that improves health, vitality, strength, balance, posture, bone density, flexibility, and circulation, as well as providing stress reduction and a number of other benefits.
 
Often called a moving meditation, tai chi is usually characterized by its slow, intentional movements that are performed with complete relaxation. The art's philosophy mainly comes from Taoist principles; the lessons from class can be applied to the everyday world.

The BCC workshop will focus on developing vital energy ("qi"), relaxation ("soong"), and continuous flow ("chan si jing").

David Chosid has been practicing tai chi for 20 years. He specializes in the Guang Ping Yang style of tai chi or "old style Yang" as a 7th generation practitioner from the Wen Wu School and Peter Kwok's Kung Fu Academy. David's school, "Yulong Tai Chi Chuan", is in Dartmouth
