High School Equivalency Testing
ATTENTION: COVID-19 UPDATE
Bristol's Testing Center location remains closed at this time. Pearson Vue (GED) and ETS (HiSET) are offering select examinees the opportunity to take the exams remotely. For more information, including eligibility, please visit http://www.doe.mass.edu/hse/.
HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY TESTING
The HiSET® and GED®exams are two of three tests U.S. states and territories use to measure high school equivalency skills. The Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC™) is the other option. For more information regarding both exams, including registration, please visit the Massachusetts High School Equivalency (HES) Testing Program.
Be sure to check your state’s requirements before preparing for or scheduling your exam.
Your free initial High School Equivalency Credential and Official Transcript will not be automatically sent to you. You must register with the Diploma Sender website to get this information. You can do this at any time – we recommend doing this right after you schedule your exam.
Any questions about this procedure can be directed to the High School Equivalency Office at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
