Regular attendance at work is an essential part of the responsibility of an employee and is expected of all employees at Bristol Community College. When an employee is absent, not only is work left undone, but the public we serve is inconvenienced and other employees may be imposed upon to pick up the slack. Thus an employee's value to the college is measured not only in talent and effort, but in faithful attendance as well. A poor attendance record or abuse of leave benefits will lead to disciplinary action.
Employees who report late for work habitually, those who report late without proper notification to their supervisor, or employees who leave work early without authorization may be subject to disciplinary action.
