The Commencement Ceremony will be held, rain or shine, on the Fall River campus (777 Elsbree Street) on Saturday, June 1, at 11 a.m. and will be followed by a reception in the John J. Sbrega Health and Science Building. Light refreshments will be served. All graduates should arrive on campus at 9:15 a.m. and check in at the Jackson Arts Center (H building) lobby.
Additional instructions will be outlined in the Graduation Information memo you will receive when you pick up your cap and gown at the Bookstore.

You will receive a diploma cover during the commencement ceremony. Degrees and certificates will be mailed to the address you provided on your graduation application, and should be received within one month after the ceremony.
If you are a December graduate, you should have already received your diploma. For questions, contact the Records Office at 774.357.2364.

Each year, the college confers the honor of Valedictorian for one graduating student who demonstrates academic and service excellence. This individual gives the Valedictory address at the Commencement ceremony.
Students who apply for graduation by Monday, March 4, will be notified and invited to submit for the honor during the spring semester. The candidate's Bristol Community College academic record and submission are used to select finalists with the highest-grade point averages.
Commencement Program Listing
Your name will not appear in the Commencement program or in local newspapers if you have a privacy/confidential hold placed on your record. However, your name will still be announced during the Commencement proceedings.
If you currently do have a privacy/confidential hold on your record, but do want to be listed on the program and in newspapers, please contact the Records Office at RecordsOffice@BristolCC.edu by Friday, May 3.
Honors designations in the Commencement program are based on your total GPA at the end of the spring 2019 semester.
Cap and Gown
You may pick up your cap and gown and a Graduation Information memo at the bookstore on the Fall River campus, located in the Commonwealth College Center (G building). They will be available beginning April 29. All items must be picked up before Tuesday, May 28 at 5 p.m. Please visit the bookstore website for hours of operation.
Phi Theta Kappa Honors Stoles
PTK Honors Stoles are worn by PTK members at graduation and distinguishes them as honor students and campus scholars.
PTK Stoles may be picked up April 22 through May 31 in the Commonwealth Center, room G-211, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and in G-200, Monday through Thursday, 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Graduates who are Massachusetts residents may be required to apply for health insurance if they are no longer covered by the student health insurance or other coverage.
