Our goal is to serve our community, and that includes students who are just starting their college careers. Whether it's high school students looking to start college early through dual-enrollment programs, or returning, adult learners who need some guidance in how to start: BCC has a program that can help you reach your goals.
These programs can set you on a path to your college degree or certificate, and prepare you for continuing education.
The Dual Enrollment program provides an opportunity for eligible high school students to take courses at BCC that apply towards both their high school diploma and college degree or certificate.
Gateway to College
Gateway to College is a dual enrollment program for high school students who are at risk of dropping out, or have dropped out already. Gateway is offered at the BCC Fall River and New Bedford Campuses.
Step Up to College
Step Up to College is a college program offered to students who have recently obtained their GED or adult diploma and are looking for guidance in their transition to college.
Upward Bound is a national, federally-funded, pre-college educational program designed to assist high school students with the improvement of their academic skills.
Career/Vocational Technical Education
CVTE prepares students who come to the College with prior experience in eligible career, vocational or technical educational programs.
