BCC Foundation Capital Campaign
In concert with BCC’s 50th anniversary, the Bristol Community College Foundation has launched its first capital campaign with the ambitious goal of raising $10 million to transform each of its sites in each of its major cities.
“The investment by friends, businesses, and foundations in this campaign will quite literally change the face of Bristol Community College,” said John J. Sbrega, Ph.D., President. “They will take the opportunity to join a transformational movement that will benefit Bristol students and the region’s economic vitality for the College’s second 50 years.”
The “Imagine. Invest. Transforming Bristol Community College” campaign has already garnered significant attention, with $4.1 million raised so far toward four projects targeted to invest in high-need workforce needs, including healthcare, biotechnology, and health sciences. It has also attracted a high-powered group of volunteers committed to partnering with the Foundation.
“BCC’s commitment to excellence and affordability represents a great value proposition,” said Nicholas M. Christ, President and CEO of BayCoast Bank and co-chair of the Campaign Cabinet. “The College and what it provides our community is absolutely essential to improve the overall quality of life in Bristol County.”
“BCC has made a tremendous difference in the lives of its students,” said Patrick Murray, President and CEO of Bristol County Savings Bank and co-chair of the Campaign Cabinet.
“It is the community’s turn to step up and transform Bristol for its second 50 years.” To learn more about the campaign, visit www.BristolCC.edu/TransformBristol to see the major gifts received, the list of cabinet members, and profiles on those who have given major gifts received so far.
