The Alumni Association is the link between BCC and alumni of the College.
All BCC graduates and students with 30 or more credits are considered members of the Association. The business of the Association is conducted by alumni volunteers serving as Committee Members, with the Committee meeting at least six times a year. The September meeting is an open annual meeting; all alumni are invited to attend. Notice of the meeting is published in the College newsletter BCC Briefing and in the local media.
Volunteers are welcome to serve on the Association's standing Committees. They include: Awards Committee, Guidelines Committee, Nominating Committee, Scholarship and Grants Committee, Outreach Committee, and Communications Committee. There are ad hoc committees organized for individual events and activities.
The Alumni Association raises funds to support scholarships for current BCC students and to promote support to the College through annual fund campaigns and events. The Association also sponsors prestigious awards such as The Alumnus of the Year Award and The African American Alumnus of the Year Award.
