Bristol Community College Athletics: Angela DaCosta

Angela DaCosta makes history at BCC as she brings her broad academic and athletic experience to the college to coach the Bristol Bees women's soccer team in their first season in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

A teacher and an athlete, Angela has coached youth soccer in Acushnet since 2000, and has served as a soccer camp coach in New Bedford. As a player, Angela has been a member of New Bedford High School girls' soccer team, the Sporting of Dartmouth girls' soccer team, and the Rhode Island Women's Soccer League.

Angela completed the Foundations of Technical Careers certificate program at BCC and graduated magna cum laude from Bridgewater State College where she was named NCAA First Team All-American for their women's softball team.

Angela teaches at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School and lives in New Bedford with her husband, Gary, and two children, Emma and Anthony.
