Bristol Community College Athletics: Rob Delaleu

Rob Delaleu has been selected as head coach of the Bristol Bees men's basketball team. With a history of athletic success, Rob brings his experience in basketball, both as an athlete and a coach, to BCC for the men's basketball team's first season in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

Rob's coaching career started at Dean College, his alma mater, where he helped recruit the foundation of the team that went on to win the 2003 NJCAA Division II Regional Championship. Since 2003, he has worked with the men's basketball teams at Bridgewater State College, Bishop Stang High School, and Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School, where he won more than 80 percent of his games.

A 1000-point scorer, Rob broke records at both colleges he attended, Dean College, where he obtained an associate's degree, and Wheaton College, where he earned a bachelor's degree. He was also named to the New England Men's Basketball All-Star Team. He attended high school at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School where he led the boys' basketball team to the best regular season in the school's history.

Rob lives in New Bedford and has a five-year-old son, Lyric.
