Tryouts being held for men's and women's soccer teams

Bristol Community College is holding tryouts for the College’s first men’s and women’s varsity soccer teams. On Monday, August 4, 2008, women’s tryouts will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the BCC Student Activities Field at the Fall River Campus at 777 Elsbree Street, near parking lot 2. Men’s tryouts will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bishop Connolly High School soccer field at 373 Elsbree Street in Fall River.

In the College’s first season as a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), athletic director Bev Cambra says, “I expect both soccer teams to start the College’s new athletic program out with a competitive season.”

All BCC students enrolled full-time and some returning students enrolled part-time are eligible to try out after submitting the necessary forms to the Athletic Director prior to tryouts.
