Academic Center for Entrepreneurship

ACE is a small business resource center devoted to guiding the small and micro business owner toward their goal of starting and running a successful and productive enterprise. It is equally devoted to creating an alliance between education and a healthy economy. Whether you want to explore the idea of business ownership, get started with a business or enhance an existing business, ACE can assist.

In addition to the ACE resource center an Associates Degree in Entrepreneurship and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship is offered through BCC’s Division of Business and Information Management and the Center for Workforce and Community Education at BCC offers non-credit courses for the entrepreneur.

The Academic Center for Entrepreneurship sponsors on campus events including: Small Business Workshops, Entrepreneurship Day, and the Entrepreneurship Expo & Awards Ceremony.

Why entrepreneurship?
New generations of small business start-ups are vital to a healthy economic environment. Research from the Small Business Administration suggest that 99.7% of all employee firms are small businesses and that 60% to 80% of all new jobs annually are generated by small business. As ACE’s mission states we are devoted to creating an alliance between education and a healthy economy.
